Kitchen comes to life following transformation

Kitchen comes to life following transformation

When Mr & Mrs Lewin moved into their four-bedroom detached home 15 years ago, they quickly got to work with taking on renovations, one of which included the installation of what was then a brand new kitchen design. But now 15 years later, the couple had reached the stage whereby they knew they needed to either move or improve. They made the decision to stay put and give their kitchen the well-needed refresh it deserved, as, whilst everything was still in working order, it was outdated in style.   Not only was the original kitchen design lacking in looks but it also had a poor layout. It’s awkwardly positioned units meant that the kitchen was difficult to navigate, so they found themselves spending less and less time in the space as the years went by.   When The Lewin’s visited our Basingstoke showroom to discuss their dream kitchen design, they had the following criteria in mind; a functional layout and a space that looked much brighter than it did before.

Our team of designers were able to create a stunning kitchen featuring hand-painted shaker-style cabinets with round-cup handles. These are complemented with spotless white worktops for a stylish and timeless effect and the surfaces are further illuminated using down-lighting under the cabinets.

The new layout has a much more sociable feel to it as it now has an open-plan layout with a spacious dining area and comfy seating area.
From a functional perspective, the new kitchen is now more user-friendly as it has been strategically designed. Featuring side-by-side double ovens, a boiling water tap, five-ring induction hob, the kitchen is now far easier to use and as a result, The Lewin’s have begun cooking more and putting their culinary skills to the test. One of their favourite features is the impressive extractor fan. This was something that really stood out to them as a must-have when they saw it in our Basingstoke showroom.

Our Basingstoke showroom can be found on Winchester Road, just half a mile from Junction 6 of the M3. The showroom which has been open since 1988, is the largest kitchen showroom in the area, boasting 16 different kitchen displays and showcasing a great range of Bosch and AEG appliances.
